Agriculture

Develops and promotes our diversified agriculture community in the county. This council provides programs, concepts, and solutions to ensure the maintenance and prosperity of our working landscapes and rural areas. Meets on the third Wednesday of the month at 7:30 AM at the Agricultural Office. Benefits the entire county.

 

Diplomat Council

Provides an ongoing program to solicit new members and to maintain and support a strong chamber membership representing all businesses and professions in the county. Presents an extremely successful yearly event, Business Showcase/I Love Film Mixer. Meets on the first Thursday of the month at 12:00 noon at the chamber office. Film Commission

Promotes the filming of commercials, T.V., movie production and more within the county. This broadens the market for local businesses and promotes our historic and special attractions while generating substantial revenue. Meets as needed. Staff Contact: Kathleen Dodge 530.621.5885.

Leadership El Dorado

This program provides education and training to help build the county’s future leaders. This program intends to send a diverse group of skilled leaders back into the community – better skilled, further motivated, with a strong vision to lead those around them toward an improved region and healthier community. All chambers are invited to participate.

Past Presidents

Past President’s advisory council meet quarterly to continue to support and advise the current chamber leadership. Past President’s advisory council meets as needed. Staff Contact: Laurel Brent-Bumb 530.621.5885.

Public Affairs/Joint Chambers

Study legislation and issues that affect the business community and make recommendations to the chamber boards, proper agencies, or members. This council is a strong influence in the region and impacts the outcome of issues locally, as well as regionally and at the state and national level. Meets on the second Thursday of the month at 7:30 AM at the El Dorado County Office of Education. All chambers are invited to participate. Staff Contact: Laurel Brent-Bumb 530.621.5885.

Visitors Authority/Tourism

Develops a strong tourism program that will broaden the market for business and promote historic and special attractions. This council develops programs and strategies that continue to grow tourism revenue in the county. All chambers are invited to participate. Staff Contact: Jody Franklin 530.621.5885.
