2006 is here and it is time to look to this year’s Community Business and Job Fair, referred to as Expo 2006. The El Dorado County Chamber of Commerce will again host a free hot dog lunch to the first 500 visitors at Expo 2006 on Saturday, March 18th at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Lunch will be graciously provided by M.O.R.E. Expo 2006 will be a great opportunity to give your business a boost! Whether you are looking to hire new employees or want a great networking opportunity, the Expo is sure to capture what you are looking for. The Job Fair will provide continuing education opportunities, community services information, activities, great giveaways, and more. With break out sessions on topics including, “Transitioning in the Workforce,” “Work Skills needed in 2006,” “Customer Service Skills,” and “Developing a Business Plan,” this year has even more to offer than previous years. The Community Business Fair provides opportunities for the community at large to see the variety of products and services available in El Dorado County. There is also terrific Business to Business networking. A Business Awards Luncheon will be held on Friday, March 17th from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm in the Grand Ballroom at Sequoia. Several local businesses will be honored at this event, and a grant will be presented to a deserving business. The funds for the mini-grant are the result of generous donations from PG&E, sponsors and proceeds of previous Expo’s. This year’s keynote speaker, T. Max Haynes, will inspire you in “Back to Basics” Leadership. We would like to ask you to renew your commitment to the business community by providing support through the El Dorado County Chamber of Commerce with your generous sponsorship of Expo 2006. Your contribution, along with the contributions of other successful businesses, will enable us to conduct the Expo 2006, provide grants to deserving local businesses, and provide additional services to the business community. Click here for the application and request for participation as a sponsor or exhibitor for Expo 2006. Your contribution of money, in-kind advertising, and recognition of the value of businesses helping other businesses speaks highly of your commitment to our community and is greatly appreciated. Sincerely,
